ABOUT DZHATSHA FILMS

BACKGROUND

Dzhatsha Films is an independent film production company that was established in 2005 and priodes itself as the number one African movie production specializing in exciting African  movies.

The production is on a mission to grow its own stars and to form contractual relationships with aspiring actors, with the greatest of professionalism.

BEHIND "DZHATSHA FILMS"

Dzhatsha Films was founded by Tshidino “Chidino” Ndou, a rural filmmaker who grew up in the dusty streets of Venda in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.

He studied Drama and Film at the University of Pretoria between 1995 and 1998  where he was lectured by hanli Rolfes (Saralie of SABC1 Generations) who motivated Chidino to pursue a career in the Film industry. Chidino also studied filmmaking at City Varsity in Newtown, Johannesburg.

He participated numerous television commercials such as Avbob which aired on SABC TV, Minute Maid, American Express and others. He also worked on the set of an ETV series, Jozi Streets.

Chidino worked as a voice artist for ABC Ulwazi Radio Training and Consyltancy, www.abculwazi.org.za where he teamed up with artists such as Godfrey Mugari(Former SABC3 Tshivenda continuity presenter), Jackee Muleya(Tshianeo of SABC2 Muvhango drama currently presenting on Capricorn FM),  Lufuno Nemungadi(Edward of SABC2 Muvhango drama) Phillip “Timebomb” Ndou (Presenter of SABC2 boxing show -Blow  by Blow) and others. He also took part in TAXI2 show which was aired at 18:00 on SABC2 on  27 March 2007, www.sabc.co.za

Chidino also worked as a film and tv actor for Chameleon Casting Agency based in Balfour Park-Johannesburg, www.chameleoncasting.co.za

In 2003, Chidino perfomed some of his jokes on Ashifashabba television show, www.ashifashabba.co.za

Being in the industry for a few years, love and passion developed and lead to the establishment of Dzhatsha Films in 2005.

He was did numerous radio and television interviews. On 14 march 2008, he was interviewed about tshivenda film industry by Diana Chiunda on Africa Awakes breakfast show on DSTV channel 114, www.africaawakes.co.za

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

While he was at the University of Pretoria, he formed a non-profit organization known as Dzhatsha Community Theatre which specialized in stage dramas educating and entertaining local communities.

Chidino is famous for voluntarily doing a lot of community work such as youth soccer development, matric support, motivation and many more.
